Recipes that taste like home.

Indian festivals & cuisine varies both by region and season, but the common thread is the spices that are used! Throughout the year there are festivals that are filled with color, joy and delicacies specially made for the occasion. This site explores basic concepts of Hindu culture and highlights some of the festivals and dishes for each month.

The reason for this website is three fold; one, for those who want to learn the basic concepts of festivals without indulging in extensive time consuming practice. Second, for anyone who are curious about Indian culture which is embedded in festivals, cuisine, music, dance and architecture.Third, exploring healthy plant-based cuisine, you don’t have to be vegan or vegetarian to reap the benefits of a plant-based diet.
