Ingredients

  • 1 cup black sesame seeds
  • 1 cup jaggery or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom

Directions

  • Heat a pan and dry roast the black sesame seeds on low-medium flame for about 5 minutes, or until you hear the seeds begin to crackle.
  • Transfer the roasted sesame seeds to a plate and let them cool.
  • Add the cooled sesame seeds to a mixer and blend into a powder. Then add jaggery and cardamom pods (or cardamom powder) and blend well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a plate. Take a small amount into your palm and press firmly to shape it into small laddoos. Add ghee if the mixture is too dry to hold its shape.
  • Enjoy healthy and delicious laddoos.
