Masala Chapati
Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat flour (I use Sujata Chakki Atta)
- 1 avocado
- ¼ cup dill
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon 5 spice
- ½ cup sweet potato, cooked, mashed
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil for the griddle
Directions
- In a large bowl mix all the ingredient. Add enough water to make a stiff dough. Continue to knead until it is soft.
- The dough should be non-sticky, but soft.
- Tuck the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Make into lemon size balls, roll it out into triangles or round.
- If doing a triangle, roll it out into a 5 inch circle, fold it into half, fold again into quarter – it forms a triangle. Roll this out to 1/8 inch thick chapati.
- Cook on a heated griddle, spray some oil and let it cook until done on both sides.
